About the workshop
The Advanced rural and remote obstetrics workshop (ARROW) can help you complete your advanced procedural training and move into a rural generalist obstetrician role.
You’ll be guided through sessions on:
- clinical courage
- career planning
- ultrasound scanning, led by sonographers at the Australian Institute of Ultrasound
- rural case discussions
- obstetric and neonatal clinical skills, including instrumental deliveries, second stage caesarean section and umbilical vein catheterisation.
This workshop is part of our obstetrics training support program and is funded by Clinical Excellence Queensland.
Who can attend
The workshop is for rural generalists and trainees doing obstetrics and gynaecology advanced skills training in 2025.

Costs
This workshop is free for eligible doctors. We’ll also book and pay for your accommodation and travel if you need us to.
