Transcript

>>Dr Michael Hurley:

Hi everyone. It's a real pleasure to welcome you to the Fresh fellows summit 2026 proudly hosted by the Queensland Rural Generalist Pathway. This year we're heading to Cairns on the 23rd and 24th of April at the Novotel.

The summit is designed for doctors who've recently fellowed as rural generalists in Queensland. It's a chance to reconnect with your peers, share experiences, and spend two full days building the skills and support you need for the next stage of your career.

Across the program, you'll explore clinical updates in areas like airways, obstetrics, skin cancer, and mental health, strengthen your supervision skills, and importantly, learn strategies to look after yourself while delivering vital care to rural communities.

We'll challenge you, we'll engage you and spark conversations on aspects of rural practice that you may not have developed or even considered before.

We'd love to see you there. Join us in Cairns for the Fresh fellows summit 2026.
