As a physiotherapist, you'll be involved in the assessment, diagnosis, planning and management of patient care.
You'll treat a broad range of health conditions including sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. You'll also treat patients with chronic health conditions such as diabetes, obesity, osteoarthritis and stroke.
Qualification and registration requirements
To practice as physiotherapist in Australia, you must be registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
International qualifications
If you're a physiotherapist who qualified in another country, you must have your qualifications assessed for equivalency by the Australian Physiotherapy Council.
You need to do this before you can apply for registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
