Our First Nations nurses and midwives are pivotal in the delivering culturally safe health care and improving the experiences and health outcomes of First Nations peoples who access our health services.

As a First Nations nurse or midwife, you can apply for a position at any of our Hospital and Health Services across Queensland. However, if you want to work on Country, let us know in your application.

We’ll connect you with other First Nations health care workers to make sure you have access to cultural support. This may include a cultural mentor or other peer networks.

There are also many additional training and development opportunities depending on your career goals. Your line manager or peer networks can tell you about these and help you access them.
