Create an account
Enter your email address and create a password
Your email address will be your username. Make sure you enter your email address carefully and check it’s correct before submitting your registration.
Your password must include letters, numbers and an underscore.
Make sure there are no spaces before or after your email and password.
Confirm your email address
You’ll get an email asking you to confirm your registration. If you can’t find the email in your inbox, check your junk mail. It can take up to 10 minutes for the email to arrive.
If you don’t have a confirmation email after 10 minutes, try resetting your password.
If you still don’t get an email after resetting your password, contact our support team.
Reset or change your password
Reset password
To reset your password, select forgotten your password from the login page. Enter your email address and select submit. You’ll be sent a link to update your password.
Your new password:
- must include letters, numbers and an underscore
- can’t be a password you’ve used for Queensland Health careers before.
Make sure there are no spaces before or after your new password.
Change password
To change your password, select My details. Enter your current password and confirm your email address. You’ll be asked to enter a new password and then confirm and save it.

Change your email address
To change your email address, select My details and enter your password. Enter your new email into the email address field. Confirm your new email address and select save.
Locked account
If your account is locked, try to reset your password.
If you don’t have access to the email address you used to create your Queensland Health careers portal account, you’ll need to create a new account with your new email address.
Details from your old Queensland Health careers portal account can’t be migrated to the new one. If you had any job alerts set up, jobs saved or applications in progress, you’ll need to create them again.

Managing your applications
Position descriptions
You can find the position description for any jobs you’ve applied for in My applications. You can download them from the summary information on the application page.
Attach or change application documents
File formats
Documents should:
- be under 10 MB
- be in PDF or Word (.doc or .docx) format
- have clear titles, for example, Selection criteria—John Smith.doc
Attach a document
Select the Attach files button under the Resume, cover letter and other documents section of a job application. A pop-up box will appear.
You’ll need to allow pop ups to attach a document. You can usually do this in your browser settings. Your browser might ask if you want to enable pop-ups when you try to upload a file.
Select the type of file you want to add from the drop down list and upload your document. The pop up window will close.
You can select View files to check all your documents are attached before you submit your application.
Change a document in a draft application
Go to My applications and select your draft application. Go to View files in the Resume, cover letter and other documents section. Tick the box in the remove column to delete any documents you don’t need. Close the pop up box and follow the steps for attaching your new documents.
Withdraw an application
Go to My applications and tick the Withdraw box for any applications you want to withdraw. Select OK to save.
If you change your mind and want to resubmit a withdrawn application, you’ll need to delete the application and create a new one. You’ll need to resubmit all your details again.
Technical difficulties
If you’re having technical problems with Queensland Health careers:
- check you’re using the latest version of your browser
- try clearing your cache.
