The Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (QIRC) has certified the Queensland Public Health Sector Certified Agreement (No.12) 2025 [PDF 1319 KB] (EB12).
The new agreement is effective from 23 December 2025.
Queensland Health is working to implement the terms and conditions of EB12 as quickly as practicable. Employees received their first-year 3% wage increase and backpay on 11 March 2026.
Key features of EB12
EB12 provides an 8% wage increase over the life of the agreement, in line with the Public Sector Wages Policy, with CPI uplift adjustment where activated.
The agreement also offers increased fairness to part-time shift work employees by providing the same afternoon shift penalties as full-time employees as well as removing the current cap restricting part-time hours for Administration Officers, Technical Officers and Professional Officers. For those working night shift, the penalty will increase to 20%.
